Concert:  'ONE WORLD ONE FLUTE '- - Saturday 12th May 7.30pm  performed by Nicola Woodward

One flute, one world……every race, every people has forever expressed love, life, joy and sorrow through the flute.

We are very lucky to have Nicola Woodward a popular and hugely experienced flautist, to perform this exciting concert for us in the barns.  She has prepared a very varied programme which includes three irish folk songs.  These will be sung by Rachel Goode who is in the final year of her postgraduate training at the RWCMD.

Nicola says:  'This programme is full of the music I love best – that influenced by music of the people.  I love to share this music and celebrate the differences and more often the similarities of folk music from around the world. I will play the flute, alto flute, piccolo, Thai bamboo flute, South American quena, Irish whistles and folk flute.'

“The first time I heard Nicki I was bowled over – this morning I am bowled over – all over again! Thank you for sharing your expertise, joy of playing and fun. It’s been a fabulous morning.” U3A
