It is such a long time since we last had music in the barns that we are delighted to be able to host this very special programme.
Nicola has played at the barns many times Including a solo recital in 2016 and with Opera Project's orchestra. Quite apart from that she has given recitals in many more important venues including The Wigmore hall, The Purcell rooms, Highgrove and Buckingham palace! more information about Nicola
The title refers to works written for the flute by French composer Charles Koechlin (1867-1950) which Nicola recorded for Hoxa label to great acclaim, winning CD of the week in the Guardian. In a varied programme Nicola wil be playing a few of these works together with some Bach, improvisation (including an alarm clock) and Irish folk songs.
Tickets = £15 U18's= £8 including tea and cake and a chance to meet Nicola, following the performance.

Once again students from the RWCMD (Royal Welsh college of music and Drama) are coming to the barns to perform a selection of their favorite arias from well known operas by Mozart, Weber, Verdi, Bellini, Strauss, Massenet, Tchaikovsky and Humperdinck.
Doors will open from 6.0pm and we will be serving red and white wine, soft drinks and nibbles.
Tickets are £35.00 (includes drink and nibbles) all profits go towards a bursary for a student to persue his or her postgraduate studies.

Come and join us for a truly wonderful holiday, exploring this beautiful and remote part of the world, with an optional bonus of two yoga sessions a day.
Between morning and evening yoga sessions there will be opportunities to spend your day either relaxing or joining any of the planned day trips: exploring the surrounding area, visiting local craft and food producers, enjoying beautiful walks through ancient beech forests, cooking on an open fire, visiting shepherds in the mountains, taking a horse and cart ride through the mountains and visiting a local market or two.
The holiday will start when we meet in Lviv, a beautiful and historically fascinating city with wonderful museums and a beautiful opera house.
From there we travel to Nizhnie Selishche a charming remote farming village where we stay for the next seven days. We will start every morning with a gentle yoga practise (suitable for all standards even if you have never done any yoga before and not compulsory) followed by a substantial breakfast to prepare you for the planned outing of the day.
When we return in the late afternoon you can either take part in a restorative and relaxing yoga practice or rest before dinner. On our last evening there will be a farewell party with Ukrainian traditional music and dancing and of course lots of toasting with local wines and vodka!
We finish back in Lviv where, for a memorable last evening, we dine at one of the best restaurants in town. On the last morning we have a private tour of the icon museum, followed by a delicious lunch at a charming, family run restaurant, that specialisies in Galacian cuisine before saying our farewells.
Experienced local guides will be on hand throughout your stay to help ensure your holiday runs smoothly and is full of wonderful and unique experiences.

Cost: £1450.00 pp - Price based on 2 people sharing a room. Single supplement £200. Plus all transfers on daily excursions, all meals (including drinks with meals) and entrance tickets and fees to museums and other attractions.
The price does not cover flights or other means of travel to and from Ukraine or transfers to Lviv.
