Our yoga studio has a wonderful calm atmosphere to help you relax and focus on getting the most out of your yoga session.  

Natural light streams into the barn which remains comfortably warm year round.  The yoga barn is fully equipped; blankets, mats, blocks and ropes are all available to use - all you need to do is bring yourself.  

 Weekly Courses

We have regular weekly courses running all year round at the Barns.  Details of weekly yoga courses can be found here.

Sophia runs regular weekly classes using techniques from Hatha, Iyengar and Restorative yoga traditions.  You can choose between very gentle classes suitable for anyone who is new to yoga or has had a break for some time, or for some other reason needs a gentler class or a stronger class that concentrates on faster flowing movements together with an emphasis on strengthening and alignment. Click here for more information on different Yoga styles.

Yoga Weekends

We offer bespoke yoga weekend retreats where you can also stay at the Barns in our beautiful Shepherd's Hut and other accommodation within a few minutes walking distance.

Our wellbeing retreats are as unique as you are. 

Every retreat is created especially for you.  Yoga, therapies, food and schedules are carefully planned to create your perfect retreat giving you the chance to rebalance, restore and revitalise at a pace that is right for you.  Unwind and relax as you:

Restore your body with gentle and effective yoga sessions and reflexology.  

Nourish your body with delicious and nutritious meals made from home grown and organic ingedients.  

Refresh with pure clean spring water.

Relax in our luxurious Shepherd's Hut while taking in the exquisite landscape and scenery.  Drift off to sleep listening to the gentle gurgling of spring water and crackle from the wood burning stove.  Wake refreshed and ready for the day ahead.

Our yoga barn is available for hire to visiting instructors. 

A fabulous venue for yoga, the barn comfortably accommodates 12 -14 plus instructor.  

All equipment is included within the price including mats, blocks, rope wall and blankets. 

Guests can use the middle barn which is a comfortable area to relax and socialise.  Fresh spring water (from our own spring) is freely available and the fully equipped kitchen allows you to provide drinks and snacks as needed.  

If required for an additional fee per head, we can arrange for healthy, nutritious meals for your group.

I am a qualified practitioner in yoga, nutritional therapy and reflexology.  

I use all three practices to help my clients achieve true wellness, which I see as our bodies and minds being in true harmony.  

My chosen disciplines reflect my approach to wellness - yoga gives us not only physical control and strength but also the opportunity to reconnect mind, body and soul.  Reflexology helps to rebalance and restore through gentle physical stimulation. Nutritional therapy helps our bodies to gain the right nutrition to support our optimum wellbeing.  

Each individual discipline brings its own qualities to the pursuit of wellness, together they are a powerful combination.   

I am a member of the Association of reflexologists (AOR) and a qualified Nutritional Therapist (NHF Adv. Dip.)  

I am also a yoga teacher qualified with the British Wheel of Yoga and the Yoga Alliance on the 200 hour diploma courses.  I undertake regular short courses in all three therapies including Vertical and nerve reflexology and I am currently studying towards the 500 hour qualification with the Yoga Alliance.

Over the years, yoga has become an integral part of my life, both physically and mentally, supporting me through my personal journey.  As a  teacher I aim to share this and in combination with my knowledge of reflexology and nutrition help others to reach their full potential.

Reflexology

Reflexology is a non-invasive treatment that is usually practiced on the feet, lower leg, hands, nails and ears. It is based on the theory that by gently pressing different points in these areas it may be possible to stimulate a reaction in corresponding areas of the body.   

Reflexology is normally a very enjoyable and relaxing process for all age groups.  For many it helps to release tension and increase relaxation as well as aiding a restful sleep and an improved sense of wellbeing.  Reflexology works well as a complementary therapy with conventional healthcare, encouraging the body to re-balance itself naturally. 

 Initial Consultation - takes 1 ½ Hours, cost £45.  Further therapy sessions take 1 hour and are £40.  To discuss a booking a reflexology session, please contact Sophia.

Nutritional Therapy

Nutrition is an underlying factor in many health complaints and often a slight adjustment in the diet can achieve lasting improvements to overall health and wellbeing. Nutritional therapy is based on the application of nutrition science, tailored to work with the needs of an individual to promote optimum health.  After taking an in-depth case background, a program of dietary adjustments is suggested including supplements if recommended. Nutritional therapy is not intended to replace conventional medical treatments but works well as a complementary therapy alongside other healthcare.

Overlooking the mountains with the sound of the spring cascading in the background, staying in the hut is an exceptionally peaceful and calm experience.  

Commissioned from a local craftsman, the hut was designed exclusively for us with luxurious and beautiful finishing touches.

The hut sleeps two people either in one large double or two single beds.  

If you wish to stay a little further afield, there are many wonderful places to stay within a few minutes drive of the barns.
